3965 An Act relating to state parks; prohibiting occupying
4066 a reserved campsite; prohibit ing entering a state
4167 park where an entry fee is re quired; setting
4268 administrative fine; providing for collection and
4369 deposit of certain fines; providing for codification;

4975 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OK LAHOMA:
5076 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5177 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2217A of Title 74, unless there
5278 is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
5379 A. No person shall:
5480 1. Physically occupy a campsite identified as “Reserved” by
5581 Department staff or by the park reservation system, or fail to
5682 vacate a campsite with in a reasonable time after being notified of
5783 the campsite’s reserved status by Department staff ; or
5884 2. Enter an area of a state park that is identified as an area
5985 requiring payment of an entry fee without having first paid the
6086 entry fee or being a valid pa rk entry passholder for the date of
6187 entry.

89139 B. Any violation of the provisions of this section may be
90140 punishable by an administrative fine not exceeding :
91141 1. Fifty Dollars ($50.00) f or a first offense;
92142 2. One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for a second offense ; and
93143 3. Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for any third or
94144 subsequent offense.
95145 C. All monies collected pursuant to this section shall be
96146 deposited in the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department
97147 Revolving Fund.
98148 SECTION 2. It being immediately n ecessary for the preservation
99149 of the public peace, hea lth or safety, an emergency is hereby
100150 declared to exist, by re ason whereof this act shall take effect and
101151 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
