71	71	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
72	72	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
73	73	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1407 of Title 20, unless there
74	74	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
75	75	As authorized pursuant to subs ection (c) of Section 11 of
76	76	Article VII of the Oklahoma Constitution, a n appellate Justice or
77	77	Judge in this state shall be automatically retir ed when he or she
78	78	reaches seventy-five (75) years of age , if not having previously
79	79	chosen to retire. Such retiremen t shall occur upon reaching
80	80	seventy-five (75) years of age regardless of any time remainin g in
81	81	an existing term. Any vacancy occurring upon a retirement as
82	82	required by this section shall be filled as provided by law.
83	83	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
