5275 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5376 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 840 -5.6, is
5477 amended to read as follows:
5578 Section 840-5.6. A. The unclassified service of the state
5679 shall include personnel employed by the Corporation Commission in
57-positions which do not require registration with the State Board of
58-Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors but which
59-have been employed in accordance with subparagraph 8 of paragraph 22
60-of Section 840.8 840-5.5 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes, which
80+positions which do not require registration with the Board of
81+Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors but which have been
82+employed in accordance with subparagraph 8 of paragraph 22 of
83+Section 840.8 840-5.5 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes, which

6285 Commission to be unclassified. From and after the effective date of
6386 this act July 29, 1985, the titles of such positions and employees

90-shall be changed to reflect the specialized nature of the posi tions
91139 and the intent of th e Legislature that such positi ons be part of the
92140 unclassified service.
93141 This provision is not intended to change the current status,
94142 whether classified or unclassified, of any employee or position of
95143 the Corporation Commission. Furtherm ore, it is not inten ded to
96144 authorize any increase in classified or unclassified full-time-
97145 equivalent employee positions or funding limitations.
98146 B. Upon the effective date of this act, the minimum salary for
99-the position of oil and gas field inspector and oil and gas
100-specialist under the Oil and Gas Conservation Division of the
101-Corporation Commission shall be Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00).
102-The minimum salary provided by this subsection shall not include any
103-calculation for longevity pay or othe r benefit provided by law .
