BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE O F THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 118 of Title 44, unless there is created a duplicatio n in numbering, reads as follows: A. The Oklahoma Department of Veteran s Affairs shall evaluate the condition of the land and property known as the Union Soldiers Home and determine the measures and the amount of funds necessary to meet all standards required by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs including those required to designate the property as a State Veterans Cemetery. B. The Department is authorized to seek assistance from the Adjutant General and any state agency as necessary to f ulfill the requirements of this section. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 202 1. SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for th e preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
