AS INTRODUCED An Act relating to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority; requiring certain reimb ursement of services provided through telemedicine; directing the Authority to seek certain federa l approval; defining term; providing for codification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5025.1 of Title 63, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as fo llows: The Oklahoma Health C are Authority shall reimburse a contracted provider for the diagnosis, consultation or treatment of a patient delivered through telemedicine services on the same basis and at least at the rate of reimbursement that the Authority is responsible for coverage for the p rovision of the same, or substantially similar, service through in-person diagnosis, consultation or treatment. The Authority shall seek any federal approval necessary to implement this section. As used in this section, “telemedicine” Req. SECTION 2. This act shall be come effective July 1, 2021. SECTION 3.
