54 | 103 | provide each student in grades ten through twelve and his or her | |
55 | 104 | parent or legal guardian with the date, time and location of the | |
56 | 105 | scheduled administration of the ASVAB test. | |

58 | 106 | D. A public school district and public charter school may elect | |
59 | 107 | not to provide the ASVAB test if the district or charter school | |
60 | 108 | provides an alternative t est that: | |

62 | 109 | 1. Assesses a student ’s aptitude for success in a career field | |
63 | 110 | other than a career field that requires postsecondary education; | |
64 | - | ||
65 | 111 | 2. Is free to administer; | |
66 | - | ||
67 | 112 | 3. Requires minimal training and support of district or charter | |
68 | 113 | school faculty and staff to administer the test; and | |
69 | - | ||
70 | 114 | 4. Provides the student with a professional interpretation of | |
71 | 115 | the test results that allows the student to explore occupations that | |
72 | 116 | are consistent with his or her interests and skills and to develop | |
73 | 117 | strategies to attain career g oals. | |

75 | 118 | SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021. | |
