68	68	rates from exceeding the rate s approved in certain

75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHO MA:
76	76	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2011, Section 3218.14, is
77	77	amended to read as follows:
78	78	Section 3218.14. Each A. Except as provided for in subsection
79	79	B of this section, each institution and constituent agency shall
80	80	have the option to recommend to the governing board and to the S tate
81	81	Regents fees and tuition to be charged to students enrolled at the
82	82	institution or constituent agency. The fees and tuition shall not
83	83	exceed the limits establi shed by law. The State Regents shall
84	84	consider and if appropriate, shall approve the recomme ndations of
85	85	the institution or constituent agency pursuant to Article XIII -A of
86	86	the Oklahoma Constitution.

138	138	B. Beginning with the 2021-2022 academic year, the tuiti on and
139	139	fee rates to be charged to student s enrolled at an institution
140	140	within The Oklahoma St ate System of Higher Education shall not
141	141	exceed the tuition and fee rates approved by the Oklahoma State
142	142	Regents for Higher Education for the 2020-2021 academic year.
143	143	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021.
144	144	SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
145	145	of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
146	146	declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
147	147	be in full force from and after its passage and approval .
