AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to the Office of Juvenile Affairs; 
authorizing operation of group homes at Southwest 
Oklahoma Juvenile Center; authori zing contracts with 
certain government entities for the placement of 
certain individuals in specified programs or 
facilities; providing for codification ; and providing 
an effective date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF T HE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2 -7-621 of Title 10A, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract for or operate 
group homes of any level at the Southwest Oklahoma Juvenile Center 
campus located in Manitou, Oklahoma. 
B.  The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract with other state 
agencies to allow for the pla cement of children or young adults in 
the custody of a state agency to reside and participate in any 
identified contracted or operated program or facility of the Office 
of Juvenile Affairs.

C.  The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract with any tribal 
nation or agency or depa rtment of the federal go vernment, in 
consultation and approval by the Governor and the Attorney General, 
to allow for the placement of children and young adults in the 
custody of the tribal nation or an agency or department of the 
federal government to reside and partici pate in any identified 
contracted or operated program or facility of the Office of Juvenile 
Affairs. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
