6565 An Act relating to the Office of Juvenile Affairs;

7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF T HE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7979 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2 -7-621 of Title 10A, unless
8080 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8181 A. The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract for or operate
8282 group homes of any level at the Southwest Oklahoma Juvenile Center
8383 campus located in Manitou, Oklahoma.
8484 B. The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract with other state
8585 agencies to allow for the pla cement of children or young adults in
8686 the custody of a state agency to reside and participate in any
8787 identified contracted or operated program or facility of the Office
8888 of Juvenile Affairs.

140140 C. The Office of Juvenile Affairs may contract with any tribal
141141 nation or agency or depa rtment of the federal go vernment, in
142142 consultation and approval by the Governor and the Attorney General,
143143 to allow for the placement of children and young adults in the
144144 custody of the tribal nation or an agency or department of the
145145 federal government to reside and partici pate in any identified
146146 contracted or operated program or facility of the Office of Juvenile
147147 Affairs.
148148 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
