7777 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND THE HOU SE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7878 2ND SESSION OF THE 58TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
7979 SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
8080 their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
8181 the following proposed amendment to Section 1 of Article I of the
8282 Oklahoma Constitution to read as follows:
8383 Section 1. The State of Oklahoma is an inseparable a sovereign
8484 state, a part of the Federal Un ion known as the United States of
8585 America, and the Constitution of the United States is the supreme
8686 law of the land and any laws to the contrary are null, void, and of
8787 no effect in this state .

144144 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITIO N IS AS FOLLOWS:
145145 This measure amends Section 1 of Article 1 of the Oklahoma
146146 Constitution. This section declares the State of Oklahoma a
147147 sovereign state and a part of the Federal Union with the United
148148 States Constitution as the su preme law of the land. This
149149 measure declares that any law to the contrary is null, vo id, and
150150 of no effect in this state .
