30	61		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

32	62		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
33	63		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.210 of Title 70, unless
34	64		there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

36	65		A. The State Department of Education Office of Federal Programs
37	66		shall, in conjunction wi th the Office of Planning and Coordination
38	67		for Services to Children and Yo uth Steering Committee established in
39	68		Section 601.6c of Title 10 of th e Oklahoma Statutes, adopt a

40	96		standard form to be used by all school districts to identify
41	97		students who are homeless children and youth as defined in Section
42	98		600 of Title 10 of the Oklaho ma Statutes. Beginning with the 2024 -
43	99		2025 school year, the form shall be completed annually at enrollment
44	100		by the parent or guardian of a student or by the student if he or

46	102		Districts shall report the results to the Department, in a manner
47	103		prescribed by the Department, no later than June 1 of each year.

49	104		B. Beginning July 1, 2025, the Department shall compile a
50	105		report of the number of studen ts identified as being homeless, by
51	106		district and grade level. The report shall be distributed annu ally
52	107		to the Governor, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representati ves,
53	108		Chair of the House Common Education Committee, President Pro Tempore
54	109		of the Oklahoma State Senate, Chair of the Senate Education
55	110		Committee, and the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth.

57	111		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
