25	53		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

27	54		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1800.5, is
28	55		amended to read as follows:

30	56		Section 1800.5 A. The Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
31	57		Industry Committee shall have the following duties and powers:
32		-
33	58		1. To assist the Commissioner of Labor in licensing and
34	59		otherwise regulating persons engag ed in an alarm or locksmith
35	60		industry business;

37	61		2. To determine assist the Commissioner in de termining
38	62		qualifications of applicants pursuant to the Alarm, Locksmith and
39	63		Fire Sprinkler Industry Act;

41	91		3. To assist the Co mmissioner in prescribing and adopting forms
42	92		for license applications and initiate mailing of such application
43	93		forms to all persons requesting such applications;

45	94		4. To assist the Commissioner in disciplinary actions,
46	95		including the denial, suspension or re vocation of licenses as
47	96		provided by the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act;

49	97		5. To assist the Commissioner with charging and collecting such
50	98		fees as are prescribed by the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
51	99		Industry Act;

53	100		6. To assist the Com missioner in establishing and enforcin g
54	101		standards governing the materials, services and conduct of the
55	102		licensees and their employees in regard to the alarm, locksmith and
56	103		fire sprinkler industry;

58	104		7. To assist the Commissioner in promulgating rules necessa ry
59	105		to carry out the administration of the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire
60	106		Sprinkler Industry Act;

62	107		8. To investigate or assist in investigating alleged violations
63	108		of the provisions of the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
64	109		Industry Act and any rules and regulat ions promulgated thereto;

66	110		9. To assist the Commissioner in identifying advances in
67	111		technology and establishing categories of licenses for the Alarm,
68	112		Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act and application
69	113		requirements for each category including, but no t limited to,

71	142		requirements, fingerprints, photographs, examinations, and fees;

73	143		10. To assist the Commissioner in providing for grievance and
74	144		appeal procedures pursuant to the Administrative Procedur es Act for
75	145		any person whose license is denied, revoked or suspended; and

77	146		11. To exercise such other powers and duties as are necessary
78	147		to implement the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act.

80	148		B. The Department of Labor is authorized to regulate any
81	149		advancements in technology that a pply to the alarm, locksmith and
82	150		fire sprinkler industry.

84	151		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
