2553 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

2754 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1800.5, is
2855 amended to read as follows:

3056 Section 1800.5 A. The Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
3157 Industry Committee shall have the following duties and powers:

3358 1. To assist the Commissioner of Labor in licensing and
3459 otherwise regulating persons engag ed in an alarm or locksmith
3560 industry business;

3761 2. To determine assist the Commissioner in de termining
3862 qualifications of applicants pursuant to the Alarm, Locksmith and
3963 Fire Sprinkler Industry Act;

4695 including the denial, suspension or re vocation of licenses as
4796 provided by the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act;

5098 fees as are prescribed by the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
5199 Industry Act;

53100 6. To assist the Com missioner in establishing and enforcin g
54101 standards governing the materials, services and conduct of the
55102 licensees and their employees in regard to the alarm, locksmith and
56103 fire sprinkler industry;

58104 7. To assist the Commissioner in promulgating rules necessa ry
59105 to carry out the administration of the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire
60106 Sprinkler Industry Act;

62107 8. To investigate or assist in investigating alleged violations
63108 of the provisions of the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler
64109 Industry Act and any rules and regulat ions promulgated thereto;

66110 9. To assist the Commissioner in identifying advances in
67111 technology and establishing categories of licenses for the Alarm,
68112 Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act and application
69113 requirements for each category including, but no t limited to,

73143 10. To assist the Commissioner in providing for grievance and
74144 appeal procedures pursuant to the Administrative Procedur es Act for
75145 any person whose license is denied, revoked or suspended; and

77146 11. To exercise such other powers and duties as are necessary
78147 to implement the Alarm, Locksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Act.

80148 B. The Department of Labor is authorized to regulate any
81149 advancements in technology that a pply to the alarm, locksmith and
82150 fire sprinkler industry.

84151 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
