41	41	An Act relating to state government; creating the
42	42	Oklahoma Holocaust Commissio n; providing membership;
43	43	designating selection of the chair of the Commission;
44	44	stating quorum of membership and meeting
45	45	requirements; providing for travel reimbursement;

53	53	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
54	54	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
55	55	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 11100 of Title 74, unless there
56	56	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
57	57	A. There is hereby created the Oklahoma Holocaust Commission.
58	58	The Commission shall be composed of nine (9) members as follows:
59	59	1. Three appointed by the Governor ;
60	60	2. Three appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma
61	61	State Senate; and
62	62	3. Three appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of
63	63	Representatives.

91	91	B. The Governor shall a ppoint the chair of the Commission from
92	92	within the membership of the Commission. Two-thirds of the members
93	93	shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of conducting business.
94	94	The Commission shall meet at lea st quarterly and at such other times
95	95	as may be called by the chair.
96	96	C. Members of the Commission shall receive no compensation for
97	97	serving on the Commission but shall receive travel reimbursement for
98	98	necessary travel expenses incurred in the performance o f their
99	99	duties by their respective agencies in accordance with the State
100	100	Travel Reimbursement Act.
101	101	D. The duties and responsibilities of the Oklahoma Holocaust
102	102	Commission are as follows:
103	103	1. Providing advice and assistance to pu blic and private
104	104	primary schools, secondary schools, and institutions of hig her
105	105	education in the state regarding anti-Semitism and the Holocaust;
106	106	2. Meeting with representatives of public and private
107	107	organizations to provide information on and assist in efforts of the
108	108	organizations to plan, create, and implement anti -Semitism awareness
109	109	programs and Holocaust recognition programs or events; and
110	110	3. Annually planning and organizing a Holocaust remembrance
111	111	event to educate the public about the Jewish Holocaust.
112	112	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
