4045 An Act relating to pediatric cancer; creating the
4146 Pediatric Cancer Research and R esources Revolving

4348 establishing revolving fund characteristics;
4449 authorizing certain u tilization of funds for grants;
4550 limiting grant awards; limiting expenditures of

4752 procedures; requiring the promulgation of rules for

4954 for codification; providing an effective date; and

5661 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5762 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5863 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-580 of Title 63, unless there
5964 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as f ollows:
6065 A. 1. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a
6166 revolving fund for the State Department of Health to be designated
6267 the "Pediatric Cancer Research and Resources Revolving Fund". The
6368 fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal ye ar
64-limitations, and shall consist of all monies designated for depos it
65-to the fund by law and any public donations otherwise eligible for

96+limitations, and shall consist of all monies designated for depos it
97+to the fund by law and any public donations otherwise eli gible for
9298 deposit in such fund . All monies accruing to the credit of said
9399 fund are hereby appropriated and may be budgeted and e xpended by the
94100 State Department of Health for the purposes of:
95101 a. providing grants to entities engaging in re search
96102 related to pediatric cancer, and
97103 b. providing grants to entities assisting families
98104 confronted with financial cha llenges associated with
99105 pediatric cancer treatment.
100106 2. Expenditures from said fund shall b e made upon warrants
101107 issued by the State Treasurer against claims filed as prescribed by
102108 law with the Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise
103109 Services for approval and payment .
104110 B. The State Department of Health shall establish eligibility
105111 and application requirements for the award of grants authorized
106112 under the provisions of this section. In no event shall the
107113 Department award grants in excess of the unencumbered balance of the
108114 Pediatric Cancer Research and Resources Revolving Fund.
109115 C. The State Department of Health shall promulgate rules for
110116 the proper administration of the Pediatric Cancer Research and
111117 Resources Revolving Fund in accordance with the requirements of this
112118 section.
113119 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
114-SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
115-of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

147+SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
148+of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
142149 declared to exist, by reason whereof th is act shall take effect and
143150 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
