4040 An Act relating to criminal procedure; requiring the

5050 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5151 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5252 in the Oklahoma Statu tes as Section 212 of Title 22, unless there is
5353 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5454 A. Upon the effective date of this act , every law enforcement
5555 agency in this state that supplies its peace officers with audio or
5656 audiovisual recording equipment shall require its peace officers to
5757 use the audio or audiovisual recording equipment at all times while
5858 on duty including, but not limited to, when responding to calls for
5959 service, during traffic stops, and any time the peace officer
6060 interacts with members of the public.

8787 B. As used in this section, "audio or audiovisual recording
8888 equipment" means an electronic record ing device that is capable of
8989 recording audio or video with sound.
9090 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
