AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to revenue and taxation; a mending 68
O.S. 2021, Section 114, which relat es to payment of
certain fees; authorizing payment of fees for certain
personnel related to professional organizations;
providing an effective date; an d declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 68 O.S. 20 21, Section 114, is
amended to read as follo ws:
Section 114. The Oklahoma Tax Commission may expend monies to
pay membership fees for Commission members or employees of the
Commission in regional or national tax associations or dues for
membership in professional organizations for Commission member s or
employees of the Commission who are certified public accountants or
licensed attorneys as the Commission deems i n the best interest of
this state for education and training in tax administration,

practices, and procedures, and any other fees required to be paid by
an employee in the performance of his official duties.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the pr eservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effe ct and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
