AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to cities and towns; repealing all
laws that interfere with the free exercise of
municipalities to regulate and protect t heir
citizens; providing for codification; and providing
an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sectio n 1-111 of Title 11, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
Any statute which attempts to pre-empt municipal actions by
interfering with the free exercise of municipalities to regulate and
protect their citizens is hereby rep ealed from the statutes of the
State of Oklahoma.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
