41	41	63 O.S. 2021, Section 4210.3, which relates to the
42	42	Oklahoma Boating Safe ty Regulation Act; adding
43	43	exception to certain prohibited act; modifying and
44	44	reducing certain penalties; and providing an

50	50	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	51	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 2021, S ection 4210.3, is
52	52	amended to read as follows:
53	53	Section 4210.3 It shall be unlawful to transport a shotgun,
54	54	rifle or pistol in or to discharge such weapons a firearm from a
55	55	vessel, except for the purposes of self-defense, hunting animals or
56	56	fowl, and in compliance with existing state and federal laws.
57	57	Anyone violating the pr ovisions of this section, upon conviction,
58	58	shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of
59	59	not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and not more than One Hundred
60	60	Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not
61	61	less than ten (10) days and not more than six (6) three (3) months,
62	62	or by both such fine and imprisonment. Any person in possession of

89	89	a valid handgun license from this state or a reciprocal state
90	90	authorized by the Oklahoma Self -Defense Act shall not be deemed
91	91	guilty of transporting a pistol in violation of this section when a
92	92	handgun is carried concealed or unconcealed upon or about their
93	93	person in compliance with the provisions of the Oklahoma Self-
94	94	Defense Act.
95	95	SECTION 2. This act shall become effect ive November 1, 2023.
