7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2 021, Section 10-101, is
7777 amended to read as follows :
7878 Section 10-101. A. The nominees for Presidential Electors of
7979 any recognized political party shall be selected at a convention of
8080 the party in a manner to be determined by the party.
8181 B. The nominees for Presidential Electors shall be certified by
8282 the chair of the party to the Secretary of the State Election Board
8383 no later than July 15 of a presidential election year.
8484 C. Failure of a political party to properly certify the names
8585 of its nominees for Presi dential Electors within the time specified
8686 shall bar such party from placing any candidates for Presidential
8787 Electors on the ballot at the General Elect ion.

139139 D. 1. A recognized political party shall certify its nominees
140140 for President of the United States and Vice President of the United
141141 States to the Secretary of the State Election Board no later than
142142 seventy-five (75) days prior to the date of the Gener al Election to
143143 ensure the State Election Board and the county election boards have
144144 sufficient time to me et the deadline for sending absentee ballots to
145145 uniformed services voters pursuant to federal and state law. A
146146 recognized political party shall not nom inate any person for
147147 President of the United States or Vice President o f the United
148148 States who is not a natural born citizen as required by Section 1 of
149149 Article 2 of the Constitution of the United States. For purposes of
150150 this title, a person born w ithin the lands, property and territories
151151 subject to the juris diction of the United States whose parents were
152152 not citizens of the United States at the time of bi rth of such
153153 person shall not be considered a natural born citizen and shal l be
154154 ineligible to be the nominee of a recognized political party for
155155 President of the United State s or Vice President of the United
156156 States.
157157 2. If the nominating convention of a rec ognized political party
158158 is scheduled to conclude after the deadline provided in paragraph 1
159159 of this subsection, the Secretary may accept a provisional
160160 certification of the party ’s nominees for President and Vice
161161 President of the United States. A provision al certification must be
162162 received by the Secretary prior to the deadline, and the party shall

216216 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
217217 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
