An Act relating to appropriations; making an
appropriation to the State Election Board; stating
purpose; authorizing expenditures; making
appropriation exempt from certain agency category and
budget limits; and declaring an emergency .
SUBJECT: State Election Board supplemental appropriation
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the State Election
Board from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the General
Revenue Fund of the State Treasury for the fiscal year ending June
30, 2022, the sum of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($850,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to conduct
elections, including the Special Election for State Question No. 820
to be held on March 7, 2023.
SECTION 2. The State Election Board is hereby authorized to
expend funds appropriated by Enrolled Senate Bill No. 1088 of the
2nd Session of the 58th Oklahoma Legislature for expenses related to
the conducting of elections, including the Special Election for
State Question No. 820 to be held on March 7, 2023.
SECTION 3. The State Election Board is hereby authorized to
deposit up to Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ( $250,000.00) from
funds appropriated to the State Election Board in Sections 50 and 51
of Enrolled Senate Bill No. 1040 of the 2nd Session of the 58th

Oklahoma Legislature into the State Question Recount Revolving Fund
created by subsection F of Section 8-111 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma
Statutes.
SECTION 4. The appropriation made by this act shall not be
subject to fiscal year limit ations and shall be available for
encumbrance and expenditure purposes for a period of thirty (30)
months from the date this act is approved.
SECTION 5. The appropriations made by this act shall not be
subject to fiscal years 2023 and 20 24 agency category and budget
limitations.
SECTION 6. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is her eby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
