77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 353.3, is
79	79	amended to read as follows:
80	80	Section 353.3. A. The State Board of Pharmacy shall consist of
81	81	six (6) persons, five who shall be licensed as pharmacists by this
82	82	state and one who shall be a public member.
83	83	1. The pharmacist members shall be appointed by the Governor by
84	84	and with the advice and consent of the Senate and shall:
85	85	a. be registered and in good standing in the State of
86	86	Oklahoma this state, and

138	138	b. have been actively engaged in the practice of pharmac y
139	139	within this state for a period of not less than fi ve
140	140	(5) years immediately prior to serving on the Board.
141	141	2. The public member shall be appointed by the Governor and
142	142	shall:
143	143	a. be a resident of the State of Oklahoma this state for
144	144	not less than five (5) years, and
145	145	b. not be a pharmacist or be related by blood or mar riage
146	146	within the third degree of consanguinity to a
147	147	pharmacist.
148	148	B. The present members of the Board shall be appointed for a
149	149	term of five (5) years. The public member of the Board shall serve
150	150	a term coterminous with the Governor and shall serve at the pl easure
151	151	of the Governor. The terms of the members of the Board shall expire
152	152	on the 30th day of June of the year designated for the expiration of
153	153	the term for which appointed but the member shal l serve until a
154	154	qualified successor has been duly appointed. N o person shall be
155	155	appointed to serve more than two consecutive terms . Appointments of
156	156	pharmacists to the Board shall be made from a list of ten (10) names
157	157	representative of the pharmacy profes sion submitted annually by the
158	158	Executive Director of the Oklaho ma Pharmacists Association after an
159	159	election has been held by mail ballot . In selecting appointees, the
160	160	Governor may consider recommendations from a statewide organization
161	161	representing pharmacists, a state chapter of a natio nal organization
