4748 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF TH E STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4849 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
4950 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.518 of Title 70, unless
5051 there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
5152 Every public elementary school site in this state shall employ a
5253 reading specialist to assist in providing literacy and reading
5354 instruction to students in grades three an d below.
5455 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
5556 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
5657 of the public peace, health , or safety, an emergency is hereby
5758 declared to exist, by reason w hereof this act shall take effect and
5859 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
