6356 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6457 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 2203, is
6558 amended to read as follow s:
6659 Section 2203. A. The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation
6760 Commission shall be an advisory body to the Executive Direct or of
6861 the Oklahoma Tourism an d Recreation Department and shall consist of
6962 eight (8) members who shall serve a term of six (6) years.
63+Effective January 14, 2019, all duties and powers of the Commission
64+shall be transferred to the Executive Director. Any p rovision in
65+statute that provides to the Commission authority that is not

97-Effective January 14, 2019, all duties and powers of the Commiss ion
98-shall be transferred to the Executive Director. Any p rovision in
99-statute that provides to the Commission authority that is not
10092 advisory in nature shall be deemed to grant the duty or power to the
10193 Executive Director. No more than one Commission member shall be
10294 from any one county. The Lieutenant Governor sh all serve as an ex
10395 officio voting member of the Commission.
10496 B. One member shall be appointed from each congressional
10597 district, who shall be a resident and a qualified elector in the
10698 district from which appointed, and the remaining members shall be
10799 appointed from the state at large. If congressional districts are
108100 redrawn each member appo inted shall complete the current term of
109101 office at which time a new appointment shall be made in compliance
110102 with the redrawn congressional district.
111103 C. Commission members shall be appointed by the Gov ernor, with
112104 the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall serve at the
113105 pleasure of the may be removed with cause by the Governor. Whenever
114106 a vacancy on the Commission occurs by death, resignation, or
115107 otherwise, the Governor shall fill the same by appoin tment, with the
116108 advice and consent of the Senate, and t he appointee shall hold
117109 office during the unexpired term. Each member shall hold office
118110 until a successor has been appointed and qualified.

149-SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 2204, is

151142 Section 2204. There are hereby granted to and imposed in the
152143 Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department Commission, and in any
153144 commission or body which may hereafter succeed to the powers,
154145 rights, and duties of the Commission, the following additional
155146 powers, rights and d uties:
156147 1. Sue and be sued;
157148 2. Adopt, use, and alter an official seal;
158149 3. Make bylaws for the management and regulation of its
159150 affairs;
160151 4. Appoint, prescribe the duties, and fix the compensation for
161152 officers, agents, and employees;
162153 5. Make contracts an d execute instruments as in the judgment of
163154 the Department Commission are necessary or convenient to the
164155 exercise of the powers conferred upon it by law; and
165156 6. Promulgate rules and policies necessary and convenient to
166157 the exercise of the powers conferred upon it by law.
167158 SECTION 3. AMENDATORY 74 O.S. 2021, Section 2206, is
168159 amended to read as follow s:
160+Section 2206. The chief executive officer of the Oklahoma
161+Tourism and Recreation D epartment shall be the Execut ive Director,
162+who shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent
163+of the Senate, Commission and who shall serve at the pleasure of the
164+Governor and may be r emoved or replaced without cause Commission.
