SENATE BILL 47 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Oklahoma National Guard;
authorizing the Governor to send Oklahoma National
Guard for certain purpose; providing for
codification; and declaring an emergency .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 229.1 of Title 44, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
The Governor is authorized to order the Oklahoma National Guard,
or any part thereof, beyond the borders of the state for the purpose
of participating in the security of the United States border .
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, h ealth or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect an d
be in full force from and after its passage a nd approval.
