6565 An Act relating to public employees; prohibiting

7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 847 of Title 74, unless there is
7878 created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
7979 A. Public employees shall not strike or engag e in an organized
8080 work stoppage against the state or any political subdivision of this
8181 state.
8282 B. A public employee who violates subsection A of this act
8383 automatically forfeits his or her employment with the state or
8484 political subdivision, all civil service rights , pensions,
8585 reemployment rights, and benefits, as a result o f public employment.

137137 C. A public employee who is emplo yed as a teacher or
138138 administrator and violates subsection A of this act shall have his
139139 or her state teaching certificates revoked.
140140 D. The right of an individual to cease work m ay not be abridged
141141 if the individual is not acting in concert with others in an
142142 organized work stoppage.
143143 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
