43	65		An Act relating to the Oklahoma Floodplain Ma nagement
44	66		Act; amending 82 O.S. 2021, Sectio n 1605, which

53	75		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
54	76		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 82 O.S. 2021, Section 1605, is
55	77		amended to read as follows:
56	78		Section 1605. A. 1. A county floodplain board shall be
57	79		composed of five (5) members to be appointed by the board of county
58	80		commissioners.
59	81		2. All the members of the board shall be residents of the
60	82		county and shall own or operate real property within the
61	83		unincorporated area of the county.
62	84		3. Two members shall be appointed for terms of two (2) years,
63	85		two members shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years and one
	86	+	member shall be appointed for a term of six (6) years. Thereafte r,
	87	+	all appointments shall be made for terms of six (6) years.

91		-	member shall be appointed for a term of six (6) years. Thereafter,

93	139		4. All members shall serve without compensation may receive as
94	140		compensation an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty -five Dollars
95	141		($125.00), the amount to be established by the board. The members
96	142		may be reimbursed expenses incurred in performance of their duties
97	143		as provided in the State Travel Reimbursement Act . Members may be
98	144		removed by the board of county commissioners for cause afte r a
99	145		public hearing for that purpose.
100	146		5. Vacancies shall be filled by additional appointments for the
101	147		unexpired term only.
102	148		B. 1. A municipal floodplain board shall be composed of five
103	149		(5) members to be appointed by the municipal governing body. All
104	150		the members of the board shall be reside nts of the municipali ty.
105	151		2. Membership of floodplain boards in existence prior to the
106	152		effective date of this act May 13, 1980, shall remain as currently
107	153		constituted. Membership for boards created subsequent to the
108	154		effective date of this act May 13, 1980, shall consist of two
109	155		members appointed for terms of two (2) years, two members appointed
110	156		for terms of four (4) years and one member appointed for a term of
111	157		six (6) years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be made for terms
112	158		of six (6) years.
113	159		3. All members shall serve without compensation.
