28 | 54 | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 10A O.S. 2021, Section 1-4-703, is | |

31 | 56 | Section 1-4-703. A. After a petition has be en filed, the court | |
32 | 57 | may order the child to be examined and evaluated by a physician or | |
33 | 58 | other appropriate professional to aid the court in making the proper | |
34 | 59 | disposition concerning the child. The court may order a behavioral | |
35 | 60 | health evaluation of a child as provided by the Inpati ent Mental | |
36 | 61 | Health and Substance Abuse Treatment of Minors Act. | |

51 | 100 | made by the qualified individua l conducting the asse ssment and | |
52 | 101 | submitted as part of the Department's written report; | |

54 | 102 | 2. Determine whether the needs of the child can be met through | |
55 | 103 | placement in a foster family home or, if not, determine whether | |
56 | 104 | placement of the child in a qualified resi dential treatment pro gram | |
57 | 105 | provides the most effective and appropriate level of care for the | |
58 | 106 | child in the least restrictiv e environment; | |

60 | 107 | 3. Determine whether the child's current placement is | |
61 | 108 | consistent with the short-term and long-term goals for the child, as | |
62 | 109 | specified in the permanency plan for the child; and | |
