AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to educator health insurance;
directing that the state shall cover percentage of
premiums for dependents; providing for co dification;
and providing an effectiv e date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1309.2 of Title 74, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
For any person employed as a teacher who has elected to have a
dependent or dependents of the employee covered by the state Health
Insurance Plan and Dental Insurance Plan or by any available Healt h
Maintenance Organization (HMO) approved b y the Office of Management
and Enterprise Services, the state shall pay thirty percent (30%) of
the premium for covered dependents.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
