HOUSE BILL 1467 By: Sneed
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to state government; enacting the
Fair Weather Energy Friends Act; providing any state
or government which imposes, restricts or supports
restrictions of Oklahoma energy producers and/or
sales may lose these energy products or services in
the event of certain emergencies; providing for
codification; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE P EOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1300 of Title 74, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Fair
Weather Energy Friends Act".
B. Any state or government which imposes, restricts, or
supports the restriction of Oklaho ma energy producers and/or sale s
may be subject to the loss of the se energy products or ser vices in
the event of an emergency, which would cause Oklahoma residents to
incur loss of access or high er pricing for their own energy needs.

SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage an d approval.
