AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to education; enacting the Making
College More Affordable Act; prohibiting meal plan
purchase as enrollment requirement and residence
requirement; providing for codification; and
providing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statu tes as Section 3235 of Title 70, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
This act shall be know n and may be cited as the "Making College
More Affordable Act".
SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3235.1 of Title 70, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No state college or university shall make the purchase of any
meal plan a requirement for enroll ment or a condition for residing
in campus housing.

SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
