40	40	An Act relating to schools; amending 70 O.S. 2021,
41	41	Section 6-101.42, which relates to support employee
42	42	pay; providing for increase in comp ensation of
43	43	certain school support employees; prescribing amount
44	44	of increase; providing increase in compensation as
45	45	additional to certain other compensation and fringe
46	46	benefits; providing for pro rata computation;
47	47	providing an effective date; and declaring an
48	48	emergency.

56	56	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
57	57	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 6 -101.42, is
58	58	amended to read as follows:
59	59	Section 6-101.42 A. For the 2023-24 school year, each school
60	60	district shall provide to every support employee a wage increase
61	61	over the base amount the employee earned during the 202 2-23 school
62	62	year if the support employee is employed by the same school district
63	63	for the 2023-24 school year in an amount equal to a si x percent (6%)
64	64	increase of the base amount. The dollar amount of salary increase
65	65	required by this subsection shall be prorated based upon t he number

94	94	B. For the 2018-19 school year, each school district shall
95	95	provide to every support employee a wage increase over the base
96	96	amount the employee earned during the 2017 -18 school year if the
97	97	support employee is employed by the same school district for the
98	98	2018-19 school year in the amou nt of One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty
99	99	Dollars ($1,250.00). The dollar amount of salary increase
100	100	authorized by this subsection shall be prorated based upon the
101	101	number of total hours of work performed by a full -time-equivalent
102	102	support employee.
103	103	B. C. The increase increases prescribed by this section shall
104	104	be in addition to any other compensation and fringe benefits
105	105	provided by the district, or mandated by law or collective
106	106	bargaining agreement, unless the hours or duties of the support
107	107	employee are reduced p roportionately.
108	108	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
109	109	SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
110	110	of the public peace, he alth or safety, an emergency is hereby
111	111	declared to exist, by re ason whereof this act shall take effect and
112	112	be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
