49	42		An Act relating to schools; requiring a moratorium on
50	43		certain accreditation rules; mandating a review and
51	44		report of accreditat ion statutes and rules; directing
52	45		submission of report to certain legislative
53	46		officials; providing deadline for submissio n of

61	54		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
62	55		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
63	56		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3-104.4a of Title 70, unless
64	57		there is created a duplication i n numbering, reads as follows:
65	58		Upon the effective date of this act, there shall be a moratorium
66	59		on additional accreditation rules approved and imposed upon school
67	60		districts by the State Board of Education without s pecific
68	61		legislative statutory authorizatio n. The Office of Educational
	62	+	Quality and Accountability shall conduct a review and prepare a
	63	+	report of all statutes and rules utilized by the State Board of
	64	+	Education and State Department of Education to determine

96		-	Quality and Accountability shall conduct a review and prepare a
97		-	report of all statutes and rules utilized by the State Board of
98		-	Education and State Department of Education to determine
99	91		accreditation standards and deficiencies and submit the report to
100	92		the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate, the Speaker
101	93		of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, the Chair of the Senate
102	94		Education Committee, Chair of the Senate Education Appropriatio ns
103	95		Subcommittee, Chair of the House Common Education C ommittee, and
104	96		Chair of the House Education Appropriations and Budget Subcommittee
105	97		no later than January 1, 2024.
106	98		SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
107	99		of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
108	100		declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effe ct and
109	101		be in full force from and after its passage an d approval.
