2451 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

2652 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 202 1, Section 91, is
2753 amended to read as follows:

2954 Section 91. A. There is hereby re-created, to continue until
3055 July 1, 2023 2025, in accordance with the prov isions of the Oklahoma
3156 Sunset Law, an oversight Board to be known as the State Anatomical
3257 Board, to be composed of the following members:

3458 1. The Deans or their designee of each accredited medical
3559 school and osteopathic medical school within the State of O klahoma;

3760 2. The persons heading the Department of Anatomy, or comparable
3861 department, in the medical and osteopathic medical schools or their
3962 designee;

4190 3. Two persons appointed jointly by the presidents of
4291 institutions of higher education within the state which have
4392 educational programs other than medical which require on a regular
4493 basis human anatomical materials, provided that these programs have
4594 been approved by the S tate Regents for Higher Education; and

4795 4. One at-large member appointed by the Governo r to represent
4896 the interests of the citizens of this state.

5097 B. It shall be the duty of the State Ana tomical Board to
5198 register all anatomical donor programs and non -transplant tissue
5299 banks and to designate agents to provide for the collection,
53100 preservation, storage, distribution, delivery, recovery from users,
54101 cremation and final di sposition of all dead h uman bodies used for
55102 health science education and research in the St ate of Oklahoma.

57103 C. The Board shall elect from its membership a chairperson who
58104 shall perform such other duties as the Board may prescribe by rule.
59105 The Board shall have full power to est ablish rules for its
60106 government, to appoint and remove officers, and to appoint an
61107 executive director who shall keep full and complete minutes of its
62108 transactions and manage the affairs of the Board. The expenditures
63109 authorized in this section shall not b e a charge against the state,
64110 but shall be paid by the agent designa ted by the Board to receive,
65111 store, issue, and cremate human anatomical materials. Rec ords shall
66112 also be kept by the agent of all bodies received and distributed fo r
67113 the period of time au thorized by the Records Disposition Schedule.

68141 The name of the overs ight Board shall be the State Anatomical Board,
69142 hereinafter called the Anatomical Board . The Anatomical Board may,
70143 in its discretion, exempt any county, district, o r institution from
71144 the provisions of this act in any calendar year for any length of
72145 time.
