24	51		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

26	52		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 202 1, Section 91, is
27	53		amended to read as follows:

29	54		Section 91. A. There is hereby re-created, to continue until
30	55		July 1, 2023 2025, in accordance with the prov isions of the Oklahoma
31	56		Sunset Law, an oversight Board to be known as the State Anatomical
32	57		Board, to be composed of the following members:

34	58		1. The Deans or their designee of each accredited medical
35	59		school and osteopathic medical school within the State of O klahoma;

37	60		2. The persons heading the Department of Anatomy, or comparable
38	61		department, in the medical and osteopathic medical schools or their

41	90		3. Two persons appointed jointly by the presidents of
42	91		institutions of higher education within the state which have
43	92		educational programs other than medical which require on a regular
44	93		basis human anatomical materials, provided that these programs have
45	94		been approved by the S tate Regents for Higher Education; and

47	95		4. One at-large member appointed by the Governo r to represent
48	96		the interests of the citizens of this state.

50	97		B. It shall be the duty of the State Ana tomical Board to
51	98		register all anatomical donor programs and non -transplant tissue
52	99		banks and to designate agents to provide for the collection,
53	100		preservation, storage, distribution, delivery, recovery from users,
54	101		cremation and final di sposition of all dead h uman bodies used for
55	102		health science education and research in the St ate of Oklahoma.

57	103		C. The Board shall elect from its membership a chairperson who
58	104		shall perform such other duties as the Board may prescribe by rule.
59	105		The Board shall have full power to est ablish rules for its
60	106		government, to appoint and remove officers, and to appoint an
61	107		executive director who shall keep full and complete minutes of its
62	108		transactions and manage the affairs of the Board. The expenditures
63	109		authorized in this section shall not b e a charge against the state,
64	110		but shall be paid by the agent designa ted by the Board to receive,
65	111		store, issue, and cremate human anatomical materials. Rec ords shall
66	112		also be kept by the agent of all bodies received and distributed fo r
67	113		the period of time au thorized by the Records Disposition Schedule.

68	141		The name of the overs ight Board shall be the State Anatomical Board,
69	142		hereinafter called the Anatomical Board . The Anatomical Board may,
70	143		in its discretion, exempt any county, district, o r institution from
71	144		the provisions of this act in any calendar year for any length of
72	145		time.
