7979 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8080 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section o f law not to be
8181 codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
8282 A. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Anti-
8383 Terrorism Elected Official Accountability Act".
8484 B. The purpose of this legislation is to safeguard the
8585 integrity of public office an d national security by establishing
8686 procedures for the removal or sanction of elected officials found to
8787 support known terrorist groups.

139139 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
140140 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 111 of Title 51, unless there is
141141 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
142142 A. Any elected official found to provide material suppor t,
143143 endorsement, or advocacy for a kn own terrorist group shall be
144144 subject to removal from office or other appropriate sanctions. For
145145 purposes of this section, "known terrorist group " means entities
146146 identified as a terrorist group by credible national or
147147 international intelligence agencies.
148148 B. A thorough investigation shall be conducted by the Oklahoma
149149 State Bureau of Investigation to ascertain the alleged support or
150150 association with a known terrorist group. If substantial evidence
151151 is found, a determination shall be made by the Oklahoma State Bureau
152152 of Investigation regarding the culpability of the elected official.
153153 C. Removal proceedings shall be initiated through the
154154 Legislature upon the determination of the elected official 's support
155155 for a known terrorist group. A fair and transparent hearing shall
156156 be conducted, affording the elected official the opportunity to
157157 present a defense.
158158 D. Sanctions may include, but are not limited to , suspension of
159159 duties, censure, or fines. In extreme cases, where the evidence is
160160 incontrovertible, removal from office may be deemed necessary.
