77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021, Section 11 -406, is
79	79	amended to read as follows:
80	80	Section 11-406. A. A farm tractor, as defined in Section 1 -118
81	81	of this title, or any implement of hu sbandry, as defined in Section
82	82	1-125 of this title, except trailers and semitrailers when operated
83	83	in accordance with statutory limits or pr ovisions of Section 14 -101
84	84	of this title, shall not be permitted to travel upon any highway in
85	85	this state which is a part of the National System of Intersta te and
86	86	Defense Highways. However, the Department of Public Safety shall
87	87	have the authority to permi t such travel in certain geographic areas
88	88	of the state as deemed necessary. Such tractor or implement may be

140	140	operated on any other roadway in this state if the operator has
141	141	attached all the safety devices required by law and has taken
142	142	reasonable steps to reduce the width of the t ractor or implement as
143	143	provided for by the manufacturer. Whenever the width of a farm
144	144	tractor or implement of husbandry exceeds th e width of that portion
145	145	of a roadway on which the tractor or implement is driven, which is
146	146	marked as a single lane of traffic , or, if the roadway has not been
147	147	marked for lanes of traffic and the width of the tractor or
148	148	implement exceeds more than fifty per cent (50%) of the width of the
149	149	roadway, the operator shall move the tractor or implement, as soon
150	150	as possible, as far to the right-hand side of the roadway as is
151	151	practicable and safe upon approach of any oncoming or following
152	152	vehicle and upon approaching t he crest of a hill. A farm tractor or
153	153	any implement of husbandry shall be ex empt from the vehicle escort
154	154	requirements of Section 14-120.1 of this title provided it is
155	155	operated in a manner con sistent with this section.
156	156	B. Upon the immediate approach of a farm tractor or implement
157	157	of husbandry which cannot be moved by the operator thereof to the
158	158	far right-hand side of the roa dway, as required in subsection A of
159	159	this section, due to the existence of any bridge or gua rdrail, sign
160	160	or any other physical imped iment which would not safely allow such
161	161	tractor or implement to travel on the far right -hand side of the
162	162	road, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right -of-way
163	163	and shall immediately pull over to the far right-hand side of the

216	216	passed.
217	217	C. This section shall not operate to reli eve any operator of a
218	218	farm tractor or implement of husbandry from the duty to drive with
219	219	due regard for the safety of all persons using the roadway.
220	220	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
