51 | 101 | large animal veterinarians with qualifying school loans, as | |
52 | 102 | determined by the Veterinary Center Authority. Preference shall be | |
53 | 103 | given to those students and large animal veterinarians who are | |
54 | 104 | focused on large animal veterinary medic ine, who are Oklahoma | |
55 | 105 | residents and who agree to serve in a community as described in | |
56 | 106 | paragraph 3 of subsection D E of this section, which is determined | |
57 | 107 | by the Veterinary Center Authority to be an underserved area for the | |
58 | 108 | practice of veterinary medicine. Allocation shall be prioritiz ed to | |
59 | 109 | eligible students currently enrolled at the Oklahoma State | |
60 | 110 | University College of Veterinary Medicine. | |

62 | 111 | C. Subject to available funds, each D. Each student or large | |

64 | 113 | section shall receive assistance in an amount not to exceed Twenty | |

82 | 155 | biosecurity, foreign animal disease diagnosis, regulatory veterinary | |
83 | 156 | medicine and zoonotic disease, and an externship and mentoring | |
84 | 157 | requirement with a licensed, accredited veterinarian in rural | |
85 | 158 | Oklahoma as required by the Veterinary Center College; | |

87 | 159 | 3. Engage in the a full-time practice of veterinary medicine | |
88 | 160 | focused on large animal medicine in any community in Oklahoma which | |
89 | - | has a population not exceeding twenty-five thousand (25,000) as | |

111 | 208 | repay to the Veterinary Center Authority, within ninety (90) days of | |
112 | 209 | the failure, the amount equal to the assistance provided to the | |
113 | 210 | person less a prorated amount based on any periods of practice of | |
114 | 211 | veterinary medicine meeting the requirements of this section, plus | |
115 | 212 | interest at the prime rate of interest plus two percent (2%) from | |
116 | 213 | the date the assistance accrued. The interest shall be compounded | |
117 | 214 | annually. | |

119 | 215 | F. G. An obligation to engage in the practice of veterinary | |

142 | 258 | H. I. The Veterinary Center Authority may adopt additional | |
143 | 259 | provisions, requirements or conditions t o participate in this | |
144 | 260 | program as are practicable and appropriate to accomplish the | |
145 | 261 | provisions of the program or may be required for the implementation | |
146 | 262 | or administration of the program, and are not inconsistent with the | |
147 | 263 | provisions of this section. | |

149 | 264 | I. The Veterinary Center shall not enter into any program | |
150 | 265 | agreements pursuant to the provisions of this section after July 1, | |
