2457 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

2658 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -132, is
2759 amended to read as follows:

2960 Section 14-132. A. The State Board of Career and Technology
3061 Education is hereby authorized and directed to enter into agreements
3162 and to contract for the provision of adult education, assessment and
3263 other services for courses leading to a high school equivalency
3364 diploma. Any adult education program providing services pursuant to
3465 a contract or subcontract with the State Board of Career and
3566 Technology Education and receiving funds from the State Board of

3694 Career and Technology Education or any contractor with the State
3795 Board of Career and Technology Education shall be subject to the
3896 provisions of the administrative rules of the State Board of Career
3997 and Technology Education.

4198 B. The Department of Education and the Oklahoma Department of
4299 Career and Technology Education shall retain share the
43100 responsibility for issuing diplomas to t hose who successfully
44101 complete a high school equivalency test, pursuant to criteria
45102 established by the State Board of Education.

48104 authorized to outline the eligibility criteria and requirement s for
49105 individuals twenty-one (21) years of age and older seeking to obtain
50106 a high school equivalency diploma based on their work experience and
