79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
81	81	codified in the Oklahoma Statu tes reads as follows:
82	82	A. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Enhanced
83	83	Accessibility and Accommodation in Petition Signing Act ".
84	84	B. This legislation seeks to improve accessibility for
85	85	individuals needing accommodation to participate in the initiative
86	86	and referendum petition process by providing additional space for
87	87	signatures and allowing designated individuals to assist in
88	88	completing petition information.

142	142	Section 3. A. Each initiative petition and each referendum
143	143	petition shall be duplicated for the securing of signatures. The
144	144	Secretary of State shall design a form, subject to change, f or
145	145	signatures that shall be used by propo nents of initiatives or
146	146	referendums when collect ing signatures, and each sheet for
147	147	signatures shall be attached to a copy of the petition. Each copy
148	148	of the petition and sheets for signatures is hereinafter termed a
149	149	pamphlet. On the outer page of each pam phlet shall be printed the
150	150	word "Warning", and underneath this in ten-point type the words, "It
151	151	is a felony for anyone to sign an initiative or referendum petition
152	152	with any name other than his or her own, or knowingly to sign his or
153	153	her name more than once for the measu re, or to sign such petition
154	154	when he or she is not a legal voter." A simple statement of the
155	155	gist of the proposition shall be printed on the top margin of each
156	156	signature sheet.
157	157	B. In addition to the requirements of subsect ion A of this
158	158	section, the Oklahoma Secretary of State shall design a form,
159	159	subject to change, that includes larger designated spaces for
160	160	signatures of individuals with motor control difficulties or visual
161	161	impairment.
162	162	C. Individuals requiring accommodation shall have the option to
163	163	designate an individual to assist in filling out the required

216	216	individuals shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age and may not
217	217	influence or coerce the voter's choices, or sign on behalf of the
218	218	voter. The mark of the voter that was used on the voter
219	219	registration application shall be accepted as the vot er's signature.
220	220	SECTION 3. This act shall become e ffective November 1, 2024.
