68	68	Oklahoma Department of Vete rans Affairs to determine
69	69	eligibility and promulgate rules; allowing a disabled
70	70	veteran to present proof of free parking eligibility;

79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
81	81	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 460 of Title 72, unless there is
82	82	created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
83	83	A. All publicly owned or publicly operated airports located in
84	84	the State of Oklahoma shall provide free airport parking for a
85	85	disabled veteran, his or her vehicle, and his or her passengers if
86	86	the disabled veteran has a service-connected disability rating of
87	87	one hundred percent (100%), as determined by the United States
88	88	Department of Veteran s Affairs, its successor, or the Armed Forces
89	89	of the United States .

141	141	B. A disabled veteran authorized to park for free at an airport
142	142	pursuant to this section shall be limited to free parking for a
143	143	period of ten (10) days for each visit. An airport may charge a
144	144	disabled veteran the customary parking fee for each day he or she is
145	145	parked at the airport that exceeds ten (10) consecutive days.
146	146	C. The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs shall provide a
147	147	means for qualified disabled veterans to verify their free parking
148	148	eligibility and provide each veteran with such verification upon
149	149	request. The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs shall
150	150	promulgate any rules necessary to implement the provisions of t his
151	151	section.
152	152	D. A disabled veteran may present proof of free airport parking
153	153	eligibility to the applicable airport parking autho rity or
154	154	attendant, through verification provided by the Oklahoma Department
155	155	of Veterans Affairs.
156	156	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
