An Act relating to criminal procedure; requ iring 
special agents of federal agencies to contact county 
sheriffs under certain circumstances; providing for 
codification; and providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF T HE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to b e codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 212 of Title 22, unless there is 
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
Prior to any raid or warrantless arrest of a citizen of the 
State of Oklahoma by a special agent of the Federal Bureau of 
Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobac co, Firearms and 
Explosives, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement ,

or the Internal Revenue Service, the special agent shall be required 
to make contact with the sheriff of the county in which the raid or 
warrantless arrest shall be executed and inform the county sheriff 
of the approximate date, time, and circumstances of said raid or 
warrantless arrest. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
