40	43		An Act relating to the Oklahoma Historical Society;
41	44		amending 53 O.S. 2021, Section 1.4a, which relates to
42	45		the Office of Tribal Relations; providing format
43	46		material may be available on; authorizing the Office
44	47		to consult sources; directing the Office to deliver
45	48		material; and providing an effective date .

50	55		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	56		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 53 O.S. 2021, Section 1.4a, is
52	57		amended to read as follows:
53	58		Section 1.4a A. There is hereby created within the Research
54	59		Division of the Oklahoma Historical Society the Office of Tribal
55	60		Relations. The Office of Tribal Relations s hall:
56	61		1. Gather, preserve, and maintain all rec ords, documents, and
57	62		material related to negotiations and agreements between tribal
58	63		governments and the state and political subdivisions;
59	64		2. Maintain an archive of a ll compacts and agreements between
60	65		tribal governments and the state and political subdivis ions; and

87	93		3. Organize the compacts, agreements and related documents and
88	94		material in a manner on paper or in electronic form that is
89	95		accessible to the public .
90	96		B. The Office of Tribal Relations is au thorized to consult
91	97		sources, including, but not limited to, state agencies and tribal
92	98		governments, in order to obtain information necessary to fulfill its
93	99		duties set forth in subsection A of this section.
94	100		C. The Office of Tribal Relations shall deliver an updated copy
95	101		of the material described in paragraph 3 of subsection A of this
96	102		section to each member of the Oklahom a Legislature by December 1 of
97	103		every even-numbered year.
98	104		D. The Oklahoma Historical Society shall provid e suitable
99	105		office space for the Office of Tribal Relations.
100	106		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
