5055 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5156 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 53 O.S. 2021, Section 1.4a, is
5257 amended to read as follows:
5358 Section 1.4a A. There is hereby created within the Research
5459 Division of the Oklahoma Historical Society the Office of Tribal
5560 Relations. The Office of Tribal Relations s hall:
5661 1. Gather, preserve, and maintain all rec ords, documents, and
5762 material related to negotiations and agreements between tribal
5863 governments and the state and political subdivisions;
5964 2. Maintain an archive of a ll compacts and agreements between
6065 tribal governments and the state and political subdivis ions; and

8793 3. Organize the compacts, agreements and related documents and
8894 material in a manner on paper or in electronic form that is
8995 accessible to the public .
9096 B. The Office of Tribal Relations is au thorized to consult
9197 sources, including, but not limited to, state agencies and tribal
9298 governments, in order to obtain information necessary to fulfill its
9399 duties set forth in subsection A of this section.
94100 C. The Office of Tribal Relations shall deliver an updated copy
95101 of the material described in paragraph 3 of subsection A of this
96102 section to each member of the Oklahom a Legislature by December 1 of
97103 every even-numbered year.
98104 D. The Oklahoma Historical Society shall provid e suitable
99105 office space for the Office of Tribal Relations.
100106 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
