8181 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8282 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new secti on of law to be codified
8383 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 14-150 of Title 70, unless there
8484 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8585 A. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a r evolving
8686 fund for the Oklahoma State Board of Career and Technology Education
8787 to be designated the "Apprentice Scholarship Program Revolving
8888 Fund". The fund shall be a continu ing fund, not subject to fiscal
8989 year limitations, and shall consist of monies appropriated by the
9090 Legislature and private dollars given to the Oklahoma State Board of

142142 Career and Technology Educat ion for the purpose of supporting the
143143 Apprentice Scholarship Program. All monies accruing to the credit
144144 of the fund are hereby appropriated and may be budgeted and expended
145145 by the Oklahoma State Board of Career and Technology Educat ion for
146146 the purpose of running and distributing the Apprentice Scholarship
147147 Program described in subsection B of this section. Expenditures
148148 from the fund shall be made on warrants issued by the State
149149 Treasurer against claims filed by the Oklahoma State Board of Career
150150 and Technology Educat ion with the Director of the Office of
151151 Management and Enterprise Services for approval and payment.
152152 B. Contingent upon the amount of funds available in the
153153 Apprentice Scholarship Program Revolving Fund, the Oklahoma State
154154 Board of Career and Technology Educat ion shall award one or more
155155 grants annually to support paying the tuition and fees of eligible
156156 high school graduates enrolling in federally approved apprenticeship
157157 programs in technical trades. Eligible students must enroll in
158158 apprenticeship schools that are Joint Apprenticeship & Training
159159 Committees designated programs. The Oklahoma State Board of Career
160160 and Technology Educat ion shall determine the criteria for and
161161 establish a process for the submission of grant applications. The
162162 applications shall be considered on a statewide competi tive basis.
163163 The Oklahoma State Board of Career and Technology Educat ion shall
164164 promulgate rules for the implementation of the grants iss ued
165165 pursuant to this section.
