77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 60 O.S. 20 21, Section 121, is
79	79	amended to read as follows:
80	80	Section 121. No alien or any person who is not a citizen of the
81	81	United States shall acqui re title to or own land in the State of
82	82	Oklahoma this state either directly or indirectly through a business
83	83	entity or trust, except as hereinafter provided, but he or she shall
84	84	have and enjoy in the State of Oklahoma this state such rights as to
85	85	personal property as are, or shall be accorded a citizen of the
86	86	United States under the laws of the nation to which such alien
87	87	belongs, or by the treaties of such nation with the United States,

140	140	Section 121 et seq. of this title or the Constitution of this state.
141	141	SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 60 O.S. 20 21, Section 122, is
142	142	amended to read as follows:
143	143	Section 122. This article shall not ap ply to lands now owned in
144	144	this state by aliens so long as they are held by the present owners,
145	145	nor to any alien who is or shall take up bona fide residence in this
146	146	state: and; provided, that any alien who is or shall becom e a bona
147	147	fide resident of the State of Oklahoma, or any lawfully recognized
148	148	business entity, the majority of the voting stock or equ ivalent
149	149	controlling equity in terest of which is owned by one or more
150	150	resident aliens, shall have the right to acquire and ho ld lands in
151	151	this state upon the sa me terms as citizens of the State of Oklahoma
152	152	during the continuance of such bona fide residence o f such alien in
153	153	this state: Provided, that if any such resident alien shall cease
154	154	to be a bona fide inhabitant of this stat e, such alien shall have
155	155	five (5) years from the time he or she ceased to be such bona fide
156	156	resident in which to alienate such lands .
157	157	SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
