40	66		certain compliance by licensed food establishments;
41	67		directing promulgation of certain rules; providing

47	73		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
48	74		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
49	75		in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-1118.2 of Title 63, unless
50	76		there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as fo llows:
51	77		A. As used in this section, “cell-cultured meat”, also referred
52	78		to as lab-grown meat, cultivated meat, clean meat, in vitro meat,
53	79		imitation meat, synthetic meat, and fak e meat, means meat developed
54	80		from animal cell culture s rather than through traditional raising
55	81		and slaughter of livestock. It does not include i mitation meat made
56	82		of non-meat ingredients including, but not lim ited to, plant-based
57	83		protein.
58	84		B. A licensed food establishment shall not offer for sale any
59	85		food or other product intended for human consumption that contains
60		-	cell-cultured meat unless the establishment is in compliance with
61		-	the rules promulgated under subsection C of this section.

89	139		C. The State Commissioner of Health shall promulgate rules
90	140		requiring licensed food establishments that offer for sale any food
91	141		or other product intended for human consumption that contains cell-
92	142		cultured meat to disclose such fact to customers, including
93	143		specification of any and all food or products that contain cell-
94	144		cultured meat. The rules may, as deemed necessary and appropriate
95	145		by the Commissioner, pr escribe different requirements for different
96	146		types of food establishments.
97	147		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
