SENATE BILL 1431 By: Bullard
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Oklahoma Farmed Cervidae Act;
allowing owners and o perators of a licensed cervidae
facility to receive reimbursement under certain
conditions; prohibiting certain facilities from
receiving reimbursement; providing for promulgation
of rules; providing for codification; and providing
an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6-517 of Title 2, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. An owner or operator of a licensed farmed cervidae facility
may receive reimbursement from the Oklahoma Department of
Agriculture, Food, and Forestry for disposals required by Section 6-
503 of Title 2 of the Oklahoma Statutes . Such reimbursement shall
not exceed twenty-five percent (25%) of the value of the cervidae
disposed by the order.
B. An order for disposal by a licensed farmed cervidae facility
under the provisions of Section 6 -515 of Title 2 of th e Oklahoma

Statutes shall not be eligible for the reimbursement provided in
this section.
C. The Department shall promulgate the rules necessary for
assessing the value of the disposed cervidae and disbursement of
reimbursement to the licensed farmed cervidae facility.
SECTION 2. This act shall bec ome effective November 1, 2024.
