4645 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4746 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 23 O.S. 2021, Section 61, is
4847 amended to read as follows:
4948 Section 61. A. For the breach of an obligation not arising
5049 from contract, the measure of dama ges, except where otherwise
5150 expressly provided by this chapter, is the amount which will
5251 compensate for all detriment proximately caused thereby, whether it
5352 could have been anticipated or not.
5453 B. In a trial in an action for the brea ch of an obligation n ot
5554 arising from contract, a p arty or counsel for a pa rty shall not seek
5655 or refer to a specific dollar amount, state a range, or suggest a
5756 mathematical formula for the jury to consider with respect to an
5857 award for noneconomic dam ages.
5958 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
