65	65	An Act relating to the True Grit Trail; directing the
66	66	Department of Transportation to erect signage in
67	67	certain locations; providing for codification; and

73	73	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
74	74	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new s ection of law to be codified
75	75	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.431 of Title 69, unless
76	76	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
77	77	A. The Department of Transportation shall erect informational
78	78	highway signage designed or approved by the Ok lahoma Tourism and
79	79	Recreation Department to direct visitors to site s of significant
80	80	interest along the True Grit Trail , including:
81	81	1. The City of Sallisaw ;
82	82	2. The Town of Spiro;
83	83	3. The Town of Bokoshe;
84	84	4. The Town of McCurtain ;
85	85	5. The Town of Kinta ;
86	86	6. The Town of Quinton ;

147	147	B. The Department of Transportation shall collaborate with the
148	148	Oklahoma Tourism and R ecreation Department to maintain online
149	149	resources for the True Grit Trail including but not limited to:
150	150	1. A map of the True Grit Trail;
151	151	2. Information about each of the sites of significant interest
152	152	identified in this section; and
153	153	3. Historical context regarding the True Grit Trail.
154	154	SECTION 2. This act shall bec ome effective November 1, 2024.
