69	69	Department to apply for use of inspection technology
70	70	from the applicable federal agency; providing f or
71	71	promulgation of rules; limiting remote inspections to
72	72	intrastate commerce unless otherwise approved;

79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
81	81	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6-181.2 of Title 2, unless there
82	82	is created a duplication in nu mbering, reads as follows:
83	83	A. The Oklahoma Departme nt of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry
84	84	shall review methods of remote viewing or other digital inspection
85	85	technology for meat and poultry product inspections.
86	86	B. If the Department determines a suitable method of remote
87	87	viewing or other digital inspection t echnology upon completion of
88	88	the review, then the Department shall make application to the

142	142	C. Upon approval by the federal agency g overning meat and
143	143	poultry inspection, the Department shall promulgate rules to
144	144	implement the use of remote viewing or other digital inspection
145	145	technology.
146	146	D. The use of remote viewing or other digital inspection
147	147	technology shall be restricted to inspections of meat and poultry
148	148	products sold only in intrastate commerce, unless the federal agency
149	149	governing meat and poultry inspection approves it for interstate
150	150	commerce.
151	151	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
