75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 29 O.S. 2021, Section 7 -503, is
77	77	amended to read as follows:
78	78	Section 7-503. A. Except as otherwise provided for by law, n o
79	79	person may buy, barter, trade, sell or offer, or expose for sale all
80	80	or any part of any fish or wildlife, or the nest or eggs of any
81	81	bird, protected by law. The carcasses or any parts thereof of
82	82	legally acquired furbearing animals or coyotes may be purchased,
83	83	bartered, traded, sold or offered for sale. The fur or pelt of
84	84	legally acquired squirrels may be purchased, bartered, traded, sold
85	85	or offered for sale.
86	86	B. Persons licensed to propagate or sell fish or wildlife
87	87	pursuant to the provisions of the Okl ahoma Wildlife Conservation

139	139	Code and persons who have documentation of legally purchased fish or
140	140	wildlife or parts thereof for resale are exempt from the provisions
141	141	of this section.
142	142	C. All wildlife or parts thereof seized pursuant t o the
143	143	provisions of this section and determined to be unfit for release in
144	144	a suitable locale shall be sold. The proceeds from said the sale
145	145	shall be deposited in the Wildlife Conservation General Revenue
146	146	Fund.
147	147	D. No person shall buy, barter, trade, or sell, within this
148	148	state, any furbearing animal, game animal, or game fish, or any part
149	149	thereof, acquired from a source wi thin or outside of this state
150	150	unless at the time and place of each such sale, the seller shall
151	151	possess an invoice signed by the person fr om whom said the seller
152	152	purchased said the animals or fish, which shall contain a statement
153	153	of the source from which said the animals or fish were acquired, and
154	154	the species and quanti ty of each species, or parts thereof,
155	155	delivered to said the seller.
156	156	E. Persons who have obtaine d legal possession of wildlife or
157	157	parts of wildlife after being given to the person for taxiderm ic
158	158	preparation or processing of the meat for consumption shall be
159	159	permitted to dispose of such, unless otherwise prohibited by law,
160	160	under rules established by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation
161	161	Commission.

213	213	F. The animal, bird, fish, or part thereof shall be confiscated
214	214	by the arresting authority and forwarded to the C ommission to be
215	215	held until the matter is resolved. If a per son violating the
216	216	provisions of this section is convicted, the Commission shall retain
217	217	and properly dispose of the confiscated anima l, bird, fish, or part
218	218	thereof. If a person accused of violating the provisions of this
219	219	section is acquitted, the confiscated animal, bi rd, fish, or part
220	220	thereof shall be returned to the possession of the person from whom
221	221	it was confiscated.
222	222	G. The first violation of any of the provisions of this section
223	223	shall be punishable by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars
224	224	($100.00), nor more than Five Hundred Dol lars ($500.00), or by
225	225	imprisonment in the county jail for a period not less than ten (10)
226	226	days nor more than sixty (60) days, or by both said such fine and
227	227	imprisonment.
228	228	Subsequent violations of the provisions of this section shall be
229	229	punishable by a fine of not less than One Thousand Dollars
230	230	($1,000.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not
231	231	less than ten (10) days nor more than sixty (60) days, or by both
232	232	said such fine and imprisonment.
233	233	SECTION 2. This act shall become e ffective November 1, 2024.
