SENATE BILL 1900 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Supreme Court; prohibiting
Supreme Court Justice s and the Administrati ve
Director of the Cour ts from representing the courts
in lobbying the Legislature; authorizing utilization
of certain officials by Legislature for limited
purpose; providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 16.12 of Title 20, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No Justice of the Supreme Court or the Admin istrative Director
of the Courts shall use public or court funds in a manner that is
primarily or secondarily representing the agency relative to the
passage, defeat, approval , or modification of public policy
legislation that is being considered by the Legislature. A Justice
of the Supreme Court o r the Administrative Director of the Courts
shall only be utilized by the Legislature as a resource witness for
public policy legislation and when requested.

SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1 , 2024.
